The birth of the LXi range, however, has surpassed all expectations. Based on the same tapers and exactly the same superb graphite mixes as the LeCie (no compromises there), but with small tweaks in actions, lengths and with a totally new look, these rods are- without doubt, the new generation.
High modulus graphite cloths, based on the LeCie model have been used to deliver high performance and the LXi rods have re-designed handles with new shapes, lengths and added inserts, so that superb technical performance is matched by stunning cosmetics. Reel seats are in hard anodized, black, glossy aluminum and see a new flat-sided design that keeps sliding hoods in correct position when a reel is attached.
The super hard and great looking Carbide stripper guides have silver soldered welds for extra reinforcement and corrosion resistance. Snake guides are hard chrome and light gauge to enhance and compliment the action of the blank. The green/gray metallic colored blanks have subtle, grey wrappings with dark red trims that give the rods a stunning and classy appearance.
